Challenge: Make tabletop roleplaying games more accessible.
Goal: Celebrate the power of collaborative storytelling.
Solution: Create a platform that empowers talented Storytellers, so they can enrich others through tabletop roleplaying games.
How do you play games like Dungeons & Dragons if you and your friends don’t know how to run a game? It was this question that prompted me to found Questbook. A place where we connect talented Storytellers to players that want to play roleplaying games but don’t know where to begin.
I am also on my own adventure, learning how to be a leader of creatives. I believe that storytelling should be seen as an art form. Because of this, Questbook is no longer a humble solution but a platform to elevate wonderful creatives.
Character Design
It was important to move away from the high fantasy art style that is commonly used in tabletop roleplaying media. I worked with Jonatan Iversen-Ejve to create brand mascots that would draw beginners and ease them into the idea of roleplaying.
Events
We have been running weekly and monthly events in Auckland and Wellington for nearly 3 years now. Capturing the joy that these events bring to our players is incredibly important. I have worked closely with videographers and photographers to refine the brand images so they are welcoming and consistent.
Online
I run all of Questbook’s online presence, from customer service and website design, to content creator and server admin.
Our games, events and social platforms lead players to our thrilling Discord community. There they get to connection with other players and our Storytellers.
